TEAM FEE - Covers the maximum number of players on a team, depending on which sport. You are not required to pay individual fees on top of the team fee. For example, Coed Flag Football is $550/team, NOT $550/team + $70/individual.
INDIVIDUAL FEES - Each sport and division has individual registrants. These registrants are charged a per person fee, based upon sport and division. Individual fees include a t-shirt and equipment (when applicable).
What are the different payment options?
- Payment Option 1: Charge the credit card used to secure the team registration for the full team fee amount.
- Payment Option 2: Pay by check for the full team fee amount, using the Check Authorization Form.

Shirts are only included for individual registrants, or those teams choosing payment option 3.

NSL works closely with Color My Shirt. Please contact them directly if you're interested in seeking a discounted shirt/jersey vendor.
What is the extra fee associated with my credit card payment?
Each team that uses a credit card to pay their league fees will be charged a 5% credit card surcharge. All players that pay a portion of the team's fee using a credit card will be charged a $3.75 credit card processing fee.
Why am I being charged more than the team fee?
If the number of players invited to your team online exceeds the max roster number listed for your league, there will be an additional fee of $20/person.
BEFORE THE SCHEDULE IS RELEASED
When will my team status change?
We address team statuses based on when the team captain registers a team, typically 2 - 3 times per week. You will receive an automatic confirmation email notification once your team has been accepted or wait listed. Furthermore, any time your team status is changed, the website will generate an automatic email notification.
What does the email notice I received actually mean?
There are several notices that our system generates when we change your status. All notices are automatically generated.
A. Pending - If a registration is submitted correctly a "pending" notice is sent. This means we have your registration.
B. Enrolled (Building Roster) - We received your registration and have room for you in the league. It's now time to build your roster
C. Enrolled (Roster Complete) - You have submitted your final roster which is due the second week/game of the season whichever comes first.
D. Waitlisted - We no longer have any space in the league. We strongly suggest trying another division or day of play.
Can I confirm that my team is registered?
Yes, when you log into your account, you will be able to view the status of your team, whether pending, enrolled - building roster, or wait listed.
How do I create a roster and invite others to play on my team?
Please check out our Instructional Form to assist you with this process.

I am not showing up on any teams, when will I be assigned?
If you have registered as an individual for a league, you will begin receiving email notifications from us (with roster and contact information for your team) at the very latest 2 business days prior to the schedule first game of the season. We generally will begin sending information as soon as we know we will have enough players to build a team.
Will I be placed on an existing team?
Individual registrants will be placed on a team created by NSL along with the other individuals who have signed up for the same sport and division. On very rare occasion, players will be placed on existing teams.
DURING THE SEASON
What is an NSL Blue Card?
View our Sponsors page for more information on our Blue Card Program.
What happens when a game is rained out?
Leagues may be cancelled due to weather conditions, dangerous or unplayable field conditions, facility constraints, etc. NSL staff makes every effort to play all scheduled games, thus we will not cancel games until absolutely necessary. Therefore, if you are calling concerning a decision on a cancellation, remember we will not have an answer until close to the start of the league, generally 2 hours before the first scheduled game of the day. If the league is cancelled, NSL staff will change the voicemail, Twitter and website immediately (if accessible). NSL will not call captains to let them know. It is then the captain's responsibility to inform all teammates of the cancellation. If a league is cancelled on site, NSL staff will attempt to contact those teams still scheduled to play the remainder of the league day/night. Depending on the time of cancellation, some teams will have to be notified on site. If we do cancel, follow next week's schedule (ex. If April 13 is cancelled teams should follow the April 20 schedule for their next game). The games that are cancelled will be made up towards the end of the season if time allows. NSL reserves the right to run a shortened season without a refund. NSL also reserves the right to schedule games on days other than your regularly scheduled league day/night if necessary.
Forfeits - $25 fee and must be sent in email
If your team forfeits a match during the season, the following rules apply:
- The score will be indicated in favor of the team not at fault.
- The credit card you have supplied will be charged $25 and the opposing team will be rewarded with a $25 gift certificate to the sponsor bar for that season (this does not apply to individual based teams). To avoid being charged a fee you must notify the league office by email only two hours prior to the start of the leagues first scheduled game of the day. Any team with a forfeit will will automatically drop to the bottom of any tie breaking situation in league standings.
LEAGUE PLAYOFFS
When will the league playoffs begin?
Typically, league playoffs will begin the week following the final regular season games and will be played on the same day as the regular season. In the case of 2 or more rainouts during the season, NSL reserves the right to host games on days other than a normal day of play.
How do the standings determine the seeding?
Teams are seeded according to winning percentage, head to head competition, point differential, points against and points for. Any team with a recorded forfeit will automatically fall to the bottom of any tie breaker situation.
